Israel’s government has approved a deal to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas, the Israeli prime minister’s office said.
The decision on the outline of the hostage deal was passed by a majority of votes.
There is a still a 24-hour period where the families of victims of Hamas could appeal to the Supreme Court. The deal is not final until that period concludes.
